The first thing is, 400 years ago, 66% of Earth is covered with Forests, when you see the today's percentage of Forests on Earth it may Hurt you. That is 33%. Totally its halved.
This Deforestation is intensifying with 23 Million Hector's of Forest destroyed between 2000 and 2012. It is 5,68,33,000 Acres.
